Job Full Description Brazing / Machine Operator Location: North Kingstown, RI
Pay: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:00 PM; Friday, 6:30 AM-10:30 AM
Hours: 40 hours/week, with overtime opportunities
Position Type: Full-time, hourly with benefits
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled
Brazing/Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this position is brazing and assembling components according to work orders, product drawings, and established work instructions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The selected candidate will also be
cross-trained on CNC milling and pipe-bending machinery , providing an opportunity to develop additional manufacturing skills.
Responsibilities - Perform brazing and assembly of components according to work orders, drawings, and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
- Operate production machinery and use computer-based systems to complete work orders.
- Cross-train and assist with CNC milling and pipe-bending equipment .
- Perform quality inspections to ensure completed components meet specifications.
- Accurately pull materials and inventory based on warehouse locations and production orders.
- Record inventory and work order information in the company system.
- Maintain accurate production, machine, and safety records.
- Assist with general machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Keep tools, equipment, workstations, and warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Restock materials and maintain organized inventory.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use equipment in a safe and ergonomic manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other production departments.
- Assist with training and support of other production employees as needed.
- Perform other general manufacturing and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills - High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of assembly, brazing, machine operating, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Brazing experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, and basic product drawings.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to learn and use manufacturing software and computer systems.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Information This position involves working around various manufacturing equipment. Some equipment may produce magnetic fields that could affect individuals with pacemakers or metallic implants.
