Plumbing & Heating Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced and dependable  Plumbing & Heating Service Technician to join our team. This is primarily a  residential service position , working on a variety of plumbing and heating systems.

Strong experience with residential gas and oil boilers is highly preferred. The ideal candidate should be comfortable diagnosing, servicing, and repairing boilers, while also having a well-rounded background in residential plumbing and heating.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential plumbing and heating service calls
• Diagnose and repair plumbing and heating problems
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair gas and oil-fired boilers
• Perform boiler maintenance, cleanings, and seasonal tune-ups
• Troubleshoot no-heat calls and heating system issues
• Service and repair circulator pumps, zone valves, thermostats, aquastats, expansion tanks, and other heating components
• Work on hydronic heating systems, baseboard, radiators, and related equipment
• Service and repair water heaters
• Repair faucets, toilets, valves, pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components
• Assist with plumbing and heating installations and replacements
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues related to heating equipment
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain recommended repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete service calls safely, efficiently, and professionally

Qualifications

• Strong residential plumbing and heating experience
• Hands-on experience with gas and oil boilers strongly preferred
• Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot heating and plumbing problems
• Knowledge of residential hydronic heating systems
• Experience with boiler controls, burners, circulators, zone valves, and related components
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in customers’ homes
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Dependable, professional, and punctual
• Plumbing/heating licenses or certifications are a plus
